RBQ construction site safety exam (GSC): what to expect

The GSC exam is one of the RBQ’s management exams. Here is what the RBQ says, and what it does not say.

Short answer: According to the RBQ, the GSC exam lasts 1 h 30 and is passed at 60%. Questions are multiple choice. The LSST, the LATMP and the Safety Code for the construction industry are supplied on site. The RBQ does not publish the number of questions.

Format

The modules

According to the RBQ skills profile: prevention management, compensation (claims) management, assessment management and, since the November 2024 sheet, sustainable development. Legislation and regulation run through these modules.

Documents allowed

The exam is not open book: only documents handed out by the invigilator are allowed. For the GSC, the LATMP, the LSST and the Safety Code for the construction industry are supplied; other listed texts are recommended reading. Questions therefore focus on applying the texts, not on memorising article numbers.

Cost
